This is a concise and straightforward guide on configuring graphical Linux remote sessions using XRDP! Thanks for providing these clear steps.
You've presented a very practical solution for Windows users who need to access a Linux GUI remotely via RDP. The sequence of commands, from checking the IP and Linux version to installing, enabling, and checking the status of xrdp, is logical and easy to follow.
The instruction to use mstsc on Windows to connect, and the graphical depiction of entering credentials and accessing the desktop, makes the process very clear for the end-user.
Crucially, you've included a vital troubleshooting tip: the black screen issue when connecting with the root user on Ubuntu Server and the recommendation to use a less privileged user. This is a common pitfall that often frustrates users, and addressing it upfront adds significant value to the guide.
This is a great quick-start for anyone looking to set up RDP for their Linux desktop.
